The Office for National Statistics (ONS) published the first release of 2021 census data on the 28th June 2022. On census day (21 March 2021), the population of Brent was estimated to be 339,800, making Brent the 5th largest London borough. The first release provides the following statistics at local authority level in England & Wales:

  • population size
  • population density
  • population by age and sex (in five year age bands)
  • the number of households.
