This report considers various indicators about Covid-19 impacts, resident support schemes and resident need. Where possible, the analysis explores differences by area within Brent. The evidence provides insight into the impact of the pandemic across the borough, and is intended to inform the Council’s ongoing response to the Pandemic and planning for recovery. The report provides data about:

  • Covid-19: spatial analysis of cases, deaths and numbers shielding. 
  • Resident support: Analysis of grant support provided via the Brent Resident Support Fund, Self-Isolation Payments and the Winter Grant Support Fund.
  • Labour market and business support: analysis of grant support to local businesses and support to workers through the government’s furlough and income replacement schemes. 
  • Welfare support and poverty: spatial analysis of patterns of poverty and welfare recipients across the borough.
